Greetings, friends! Sorry for the delay in communicating all that is happening with Roatan Mission but please know that it is not from lack of things going on for sure. We are currently engaged in constructing a mission house for teams that will also provide rest and relaxation to those on the mission field.
The Colonia Church (Christo Rey), which means Christ the King, is continuing to grow and evangelize in the community. Pastor Rossel is doing a great work and we have added a sound system and recently completed putting stucco on the bottom level as well as adding a much neededbathroom for the ministry there. They have doubled in size after moving into the new building with more than 30 adults and 40+ children attending weekly. We were also able to provide much needed school supplies to over 20 children at the church. Special thanks to a generous donor who provided jerseys for over 30 kids for their new soccer ministry! We are still hoping for teams and donations to finish the next level to complete this ministry center and add computer training to help people complete their high school equivalence. Please join us in prayer for these needs!
Our church in West Bay continues to grow with more than 100 attending weekly during slow season. This is a 25% growth over last year. We have also started recording Pastor Travis’s sermons after a request by missionaries on the mainland that do not have a church in their area. R Church also recently assisted with a new house build for a family whose house burned down.(picture above) Travis was honored to be invited to dedicate the house and the family to the Lord in June. You can find the link to the sermons on RoatanMission.com and also on http://www.RChurchRoatan.org. Your feedback on the messages is always appreciated!
Special Treasures Ministry
The Special Treasures ministry is continuing to be a blessing both to us and to those who work and live at the dump. We raised enough funds to provide over 45 kids at the dump all their school supplies in addition to the families living in the colonia. A total of 62 kids were fully outfitted for school with uniforms and backpacks thanks to your continued generosity! We praise God for His faithfulness to these special families! Our church members help with distributing food goods, hot lunches and various donations for this ministry. We pray with them and address medical needs when they arise also.
Every gift, no matter the size is precious to us and will be used to the highest possible good. Thank you in advance for your partnership with us. All gifts are tax-deductible.
Medical & Health Donations Needed!
In the last few months we have given over $2500 in medical assistance. THis has left our budget extremely low in this area. Some notable praises include providing two babies born with Syphilis the much needed antibiotic treatment that kept them from being permanently blind or deaf. Without your support these babies faced a life of struggle and could have died. One of the men at the dump was run over by a car and dragged over a half mile without the driver realizing what they had done. He needed over 10 pints of blood in his recovery and lost his leg above the knee. It took a miracle for him to even survive this trauma! After two months in a hospital on the mainland he has returned home. We are seeking a donation of a wheelchair and/or prosthesis to enable him to get around. We also assisted with helping a person from Canada with 5 children hooked on crack for 8 years to get the much needed help she needed. She is now in Canada with a strong Christian family receiving treatment and has recently been baptized. Proof that with God all things are possible. (Picture on right)

Tish Ministry Update
Tish completed her Doctorate in Christian Counseling and is continuing her Christian counseling at Clinica Esperanza with people from all walks of life in the community sharing Christ’s message of forgiveness, restoration and reconciliation! She wears many hats each week in caring for those at the dump, being on the Board of the Sandy Bay Orphanage (which continues to grow), assisting with the youth ministry and leading Children’s Church. You can see lots of info on the orphanage at sblmroatan.org. Consider being a child's sponsor. It is quick and easy to do on the above website.
Ella is going back to the states on July 23rd to complete her senior year of High School. We couldn’t be prouder of her and her service to the Lord these last four years leading worship, serving in the orphanage, at the dump and the clinic. Roatan and our family grieves for the loss of her special love for the Lord and her talent but rejoices that God has big plans for her. Zach is currently completing an internship in the states at Case Auctions and continues in training for a military career. He is becoming quite the young man and has a caring heart especially with kids. Eli is serving each week with setup of church and assisting with construction projects with Casa de Luz. Heather continues to never meet a stranger and we rejoice with her as friends are coming to the Lord that she witnesses to each week. We thank God for each of you and appreciate your prayers and support!
May God bless you richly!
Travis, Tish, Ella, Zach, Heather and Eli
